AK47 vs FAL
Which do you like more and why?
|
Re: AK47 vs FAL
FAL
Longer effective range, more accurate, More powerful round - turns cover into concealment and has a bolt hold open on last cartridge. |
Re: AK47 vs FAL
They are two different rifles... Are you trying to decide between the two?
The FAL is a larger battle rifle, it fires a more potent round. It is more accurate than the AK I would say in general. The AK is a smaller lighter rifle that fires a mid range round. Ammo is less expensive, you can carry more rounds with you if you are looking at equal weight to round ratio. I suppose it really depends on what you like. |
Re: AK47 vs FAL
Why not get both?:ok:

Re: AK47 vs FAL
Is this a joke ? :confused_ma:
I'll go with FAL because it'll take out the longer ranges than my AK and has more power. AK's are good to have by your side when the long range shots are done. |
Re: AK47 vs FAL
AK because it's what I got and I'm half Russian too.

I do not think the AK is awful and would like another one(but wouldn't pay anymore than $300 for one...) but it has a horrible safety and the mags require some work to insert quickly and to remove. |
Re: AK47 vs FAL
FAL ***(already been explained on thread.) |
Re: AK47 vs FAL
The FAL (British) is still my favorite firearm. She also has smooth classic lines. The AKs are fun and also very nice to have, but they feel like you are holding a pit bull. Very rugged. I would call it low res.

AKs may be easier to customize (folding stocks & the like), but both are excellent rifles. Prices are going up on both of them. FAL parts kits are in tighter supply. |
Re: AK47 vs FAL
Actually I have both, just wondered what people like. I like the AK47 with regards to quicker repeat fire due to less recoil, but I also like the power of the FAL. I should of asked what do people like more FAL or Mosin Nagant.

Re: AK47 vs FAL
How are FALs and Mosin Nagants at all comparable?
